I learned about the concept of hygge during my visit to Copenhagen. It's hard to translate. Roughly speaking, this word conveys a sense of comfort and conviviality, and it's an important part of Danish culture.
That sounds like something very nice. Which place did you enjoy the most during your travels and why? — by Timothy T
It's hard for me to pick a favorite place because my experience depends a lot on factors unrelated to the place itself. If I stayed in a hostel, I met more people. If I was actually *planning* the visit (e.g. Alicante wasn't planned), I was more prepared. If family was present, I wasn't traveling independently. That said, I think Guadeloupe is special for me. It's an island in the Caribbean, so there are nice beaches and plenty of ocean activities (surfing, windsurfing, sailing, snorkel, scuba, etc). But it's also France, so there's a solid infrastructure, I can meet French people and eat French food. I like the language a lot and also how people use the language. — by Olivier
I don't enjoy traveling by myself so much. I get the feeling that an experience only gains significant meaning when we share it and hear other's thoughts about it, much like a belief that only gains significant perspective when we learn about alternative beliefs.

Some travellers I have met have their own travel websites.
Angélique is from France. She and I were planning to cross the atlantic as crewmembers of a sailboat in January 2018. Unfortunately, the plans to sail together fell through, which you can read about in I Disembarked Prematurely. But despite the change of plans, Angélique did cross the atlantic on a different boat and has been travelling in South America since.
