As I explained in I Disembarked Prematurely, I unfortunately disembarked in Alicante, Spain instead of sailing out of the Mediterranean and across the Atlantic into the Caribbean. I've taken three months off work, so I have time for myself, but the question is what to do with it.
But why? Here's a collection of thoughts that lead to my decision to get off the boat. I wrote this because I think at least friends and family will be interested. If you know the owners of the boat and this concerns you, you should reach out to them to get their version of the facts.
Sorry to hear that it didn't work out, i know how much you were looking forward to the transatlantic crossing. But i guess when you are going to be in the middle of the ocean on a small boat for weeks, you at least want to feel as save as possible and comfortable with the people you are sailing with. Enjoy the Caribbean! Greetings from Menorca. — by Otto
Thank you for the nice message! Yes, I was looking forward to the crossing, but I saw it mainly as an opportunity to gain some experience. I can get experience with other boats. By the way, I heard the owners canceled their crossing this year. They are going to try again next winter. I think that's a good call. — by Olivier

Some travellers I have met have their own travel websites.
Angélique is from France. She and I were planning to cross the atlantic as crewmembers of a sailboat in January 2018. Unfortunately, the plans to sail together fell through, which you can read about in I Disembarked Prematurely. But despite the change of plans, Angélique did cross the atlantic on a different boat and has been travelling in South America since.
